(John Cusack) becomes obsessed with ending his life. He would rather die than be without Beth (Amanda Wyss).He then meets a foreign exchange student from France
(Diane Franklin) who shows him there's more to live for. Determined to get the attention of his estranged ex girlfriend he will do what ever it takes to get her back, even if it kills him.
