And The Band Played On (1993)
HBO Originals Film highlighting the narrative surrounding the discovery, rise and spread of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in America.
Based on the 1987 book And the Band Played On: Politics, People, and the AIDS Epidemic by San Francisco Chronicle journalist Randy Shilts.
It is difficult for any film to do a book justice, particularly one as powerful as this is based upon, but its still a very gripping drama you are sure to enjoy.

FYI: AIDS denialists will not be tolerated in the comment section. Peddle your pseudoscience elsewhere.
Additionally, HIV conspiracy theorists (HIV was made in a lab, etc) who attempt to peddle their unfounded nonsense will also be banned from posting. It is not only laughable to anyone with a scientific background, but an insult to those who suffer from HIV infection.
That said, if you have specific questions on the science of HIV or any other infectious agent, I am happy to lend my expertise to answer your questions in the comment section. If I do not know the answer, I am happy to call upon the PhD's in my dept or others here on Youtube with considerable experience in microbiology, pathology, virology and chemistry.
Lastly, homophobia or any other blatantly abusive behavior towards others will not be tolerated.
We are all friends here, so lets keep it that way.
In any event, enjoy the film, and feel free to comment.
