Dilip Kumar and Jyotibala are a cultured middle class couple. Their son Amar loves Sonu. Dilip Kumar is against their marriage as he does not like the behaviour Sonu's Mother. But he gives in to his son's demand. After marriage Sonu constantly taunts Jyotibala and Amar. She wants to part ways with her in laws. Suddenly Sonu suffers a kidney failure. Only a transplant can save her life. Who will be the donor?
