The film is based in a village where Satish Roy a Zamindar is unhappy because Mainak, his son never listens to him. He is also hell-bent on developing the potential of the village youngsters by getting them trained in football or in his wood-cutting factory. But an old friend Rintu (Dipankar De), who returns to the village from distant Spain as he would have everyone believe, takes him and his money for a jolly good ride in the name of coaching the youngsters in football. Satish Roy father sets out on a mission to find a woman who can bring his son back on track. Mainak goes away to Kolkata to study only to come across a complete tomboy Payel. Their paths soon cross as their marriages are fixed to each other without their knowledge. Will Mainak accept this proposal? What will become of the youth of Mou Bone?
