Kutub

Gauri and Krishna are daughters of poor hard working parents. Gauri's husband dies on the day of the wedding stigmatizing her for life. Her mother persuades her city based brother to take her away to Mumbai. She goes into prostitution to earn her living. Her mother accepts her money but not her profession. On her return to the village for Krishna's wedding she is ostracized. Krishna tries to help her but in vain.
